UC Davis has provided technical assistance, education, training and materials to support Egypt. The focus has been primarily on horticulture and extension development projects.
2011
- Egypt: Extension evaluation Jim Hill was a member of a three person team that evaluated the extension system in the Upper Nile region. As part of the MEAS project, the group undertook a rapid scoping study of the extension system - it's players, mandate, potential and needs. Lead instructors: Jim Hill

Egypt: Irrigation and extension II A 4 week train-the-trainer course conducted at UC Davis in June to train irrigation specialists of two universities and the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation (MALR) in enhanced irrigation technology and more effective extension methods. The course with 25 participants was supported by MALR. Lead instructors: Mark Bell, Steve Grattan, Corky Lovin, Nicholaus Madden and Rick Snyder
